INVOLVEMENT

Camp
Olympia

I attended the Week 9 Camp Olympia Leadership Workshop in August of 2017. I was chosen as one of thirty people from my school board, the TCDSB, to attend this week-long workshop. It was filled of speeches about empowerment, methods in which to help world problems and spreading awareness about issues that people do not tend to speak to speak about such as shortages of clean water within certain countries. It was a week filled with fun, work and leadership.

WE Day
Family

On September 2, 2017, I was able to go to both WE Day and WE Day Family, reuniting with friends made from Camp Olympia and at the event, we were able to listen to motivational speakers and the founders of WE, telling us important lessons such as overcoming hurdles set up by society and helping initiatives that try to do good to the world.

Chess
Club

I am apart of Chaminade's Chess and was able to win the club's round robin tournament. I currently play as the second seed in team matches, only losing in rank to our first seed, Henry Vu. Our chess club has been able to win cities for both senior and junior teams during the duration of 2016-2017 and we are currently winning our regional tournament for 2018. Since 2015, over 75% of our team players were able to make it to provincial tournaments and more than half of our team each year was able to make it to nationals for chess, myself included.
